LNG methane number calculation

From composition
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) has different qualities and compositions depending on the place of production and production process. A duel fuel engine might react on this change in composition if the LNG is used as a fuel on board. A poor quality of fuel might result in knocking of the engines. This is why all types of LNG are specified with a Methane number. This Methane number, indicating from 0 to 100, is affected by the different components in the composition of the LNG. Most engines are able to run with a minimum methane number between 70 and 80. Calculate your own methane number for your own composition below.
